Trinity Industries is seeking an IoT Cloud Engineer for our Dallas, TX Corporate office.
The cloud engineer will work with the development team to implement, manage and deploy cloud based IoT solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying optimal cloud solutions and maintaining cloud infrastructure. Cloud Engineer is a key role of TRINSIGHT team and should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends and be a team player.

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with development team in identifying optimal cloud solution
- Monitor and maintain AWS cloud resources (EC2, S3, RDS, lambda functions etc..)
- Manage cloud environments per Trinity security guidelines
- Identify, analyze, and resolve security vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations
- Educate the team on the implementation of new cloud initiatives
- Backup and Disaster Recovery approach and design
- Environment and application automation
- Implementation utilizing CloudFormation and third-party automation approach/strategy
- AWS Cost Management and Optimization
What you’ll need:
- Degree in Computer Science or a similar field
- 7+ years of experience in cloud computing
- Experience with CI/CD process (Azure DevOps)
- Prior hands-on AWS experience with at least 1 implementation
Nice to have:
- AWS certification
- Knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases
- Knowledge of REST API services
- Scripting capability and the ability to develop AWS environments as code
- Containerization
