Job Summary:

As the Information Security Manager, you will be responsible for protecting the Information Security Programs used by Green Plains Inc and subsidiary companies by carefully monitoring, benchmarking, reviewing and responding to alerts, logs and anomalies. This applies to all systems and related technology including but not limited to: firewalls, anti-virus, endpoint protection for workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor internal security, privacy controls and systems.
• Identifies potential, successful and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises through reviews and analysis of relevant event detail and summary information.
• Initiates corrective action or carries out instructions to resolve security related issues or system errors.
• Coordinates responses to information security incidents and fraudulent activity.
• Conducts security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues. Maintains knowledge on current Information Security practices, technologies and emerging developments/trends.
• Conducts platform or operating system vulnerability scans which assess exposure of systems to attacks or hacking. Responds to questions regarding viral activity, concerns about spam/phishing etc.
• Assists in creating/updating documentation of all procedures within the Systems and Security Policies.
• Performs Security Incident Response activities as directed by the Incident Response Plan.
• Conduct company-wide data classification assessment, security audits, and manage remediation plans.
• Supports the Company’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and the testing thereof.
• Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion or compliance related areas.
• Configures and monitors endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning/patching software and Auditing/alerting software.
• Implements syslog aggregation services to monitor for anomalies from several platforms.
• Reviews firewall rulesets and migrate to application based rules vs port based rules.
• Develop and maintain Information Security Training platform for end user training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Security+/CISSP Certifications or experience equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in computing and information security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues.
• Experience with ADFS and maintaining/managing relaying parties as needed.
• Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
• Effective problem solving and organizational skills.
• Effective written, listing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Incident Management/Response.
• Moderate experience with Linux, Windows and Mac OSX environments required.
• Experience working for a publicly traded company, healthcare industry, or banking industry preferred.
