Senior Data Engineer, Customer Information Management

Job Description

· Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security to ensure data quality across various master data assets.

· Oversee and guide quality-related activities across all Customer Information Management (CIM) functional areas from master data standpoint.

· Consult on new data architecture designs to ensure master data requirements will be properly thought out and incorporated.

· Validate purchased or acquired sources of data, data profiling and ingestion of data into Commercial Master data management systems using SQL, PL/SQL, data loader, and other data tools.

· Design and execute test scripts to evaluate data moving through technical layers in the transactional environment using PL/SQL.

· Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) testing approaches and evaluate outputs across all major data assets including Performance, Compliance, Payer, and Digital Marketing.

· Perform code reviews and provide testing support for the creation and deployment of new match rules/configuration changes across MDM and Customer relationship management (CRM) that have impact on data.

· Develop and execute test scripts at the visual layer by comparing reporting or CRM products to the underlying data sets as well as developing automation scripts and procedures for repeatable data quality checks.

· Oversee and manage Managed Service Providers (MSP) assisting in the above functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (Any) or a related field and 8 years of progressive work experience in business and data management in the life sciences industry.

Experience must include:

2 yearsof experience with each of the following:

· Technical skills including: using Vlookups in MS Excel; and using Windows and Unix scripting to load data and set up system configurations including writing automation scripts.

3 yearsof experience with:

· Developing and executing system integration and data validation test scripts for testing 3rd party pharmaceutical sales data integrations in both operational and project settings.

5 yearsof experience with:

· Commercial transactional applications including Veeva CRM, Veeva MDM, and Salesforce.com platforms.

8 yearsof experience with each of the following:

· Programming languages: SQL, PL/SQL, and Java or Python.

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical data including commercial MDM and CRM application data expertise.
