Job Description
The Head of Cyber Security Operations reports to the CISO and is accountable for the Detection, Response and Recovery services supporting Biogen globally. This is a new function intended to transform existing capabilities into an always-available, technically sophisticated organization suitable to serve Biogen’s business aspirations. This leader must be seasoned in managing through sophisticated cyber threats at the scale of a complex enterprise such as Biogen. The Global Head of Cyber Security Operations is the sole leader accountable for building and sustaining an integrated team that addresses cyber threats across their lifecycle. This translates into an operational capability that is always available (24×7), easy for our colleagues interact with (integrated into our Global Security Operations Center), and appropriately sophisticated to address risks before they become major incidents.

Who You Are
15-years of relevant experience. Demonstrated leadership within an organization at least as complex as the Biogen IT enterprise. Required deep experience from an industry where advanced cyber threats are routine.
Note: Experience within a Fortune 100 organization preferred. Ideal industries include – Financial Services, Aerospace & Defense, Oil and Gas. These 3 sectors handle sophisticated attacks on a regular basis. Big Pharma is mediocre in this space – Biotech is behind.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree
- 10-15 years of experience leading cyber security organizations
- At least 3 years leading a cyber operations team
- Demonstrated cyber security incident response experience
Preferred Skills
- Various cyber certifications – CISSP
