Job Responsibilities

Lam Information Security is looking for a security engineer to work with our product teams. The Product Security Engineer will specialize in the physical, electrical, and embedded security concerns surrounding Lam hardware products. We are looking for an engineer who understands how to break, and refine our products with the goal of delivering secure solutions to our customers.

The Product Security Engineer will also support the information security strategy to safeguard Lams information systems infrastructure, business systems, and Operational Technology (OT) systems in Lam including engineering/manufacturing Labs.

Position can be 100% Remote

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, deploy and maintain security architectures and countermeasures to protect products
  • Assess the security of products to discover potential vulnerabilities on products
  • Develop and implement technical, administrative, and physical controls to protect products, IT, OT and business systems
  • Provide subject matter expertise to product engineering teams, advocating for better security process throughout LAM
  • Support local leadership in the region on any information security issues, workloads or strategies
  • Participate in cross-functional projects in both advisory and hands-on roles representing Information Security interests
  • Document standards and procedures and logic flow and train IT and business unit support staff on them
  • Support security investigations in various systems directly or through service providers and maintain confidentiality
  • Local incident response support (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security – related field
  • Demonstrated experience in product security, including hardware and software
  • Work experience at the global companies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a global semiconductor company or equivalent industry experience preferred Breakdown and understand complex problems and the ability to develop a plan and innovative ways to address them
  • Strong people and team/relationship building skills, work with cross functional global teams
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft E5 security products (MDATP, MCAS, Intunes, phishing, GPO, etc.)
  • Knowledge and familiarity of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Switches, Routers, RADIUS/TACACS+, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Anti-Malware, DRM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, etc.)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge and experience with managing security at scale on Windows, Linux, iOS and Android based devices
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written to a variety of audiences (immediate team, management, other business units)
  • CISSP, CompTIA Security+, SANS professional certifications preferred
  • Experience with computer lab environments and operational technology (OT) preferred
