Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Expert level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join a team of qualified and diverse security professionals in Reston, VA. The candidate shall respond quickly and effectively to security needs and concerns and will provide program security support to Intelligence Community (IC) programs.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as a principal advisor to the Government on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of an Information System (IS)
• Provide the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an IS
• Maintain responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of the system
• Develop and provide updated System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting documentation (e.g. SECONOPs, diagrams, Privileged User’s Guide)
• Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements and perform reviews of technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommended mitigation strategies
• Conduct technical exchange meetings to facilitate AIS security solutions
• Facilitate development, maintenance and security review of AIS security plans for computers, networks and information systems

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Minimum of 16 years of applicable experience
• Must be able to analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues

DESIRED:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering
• Certified information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) and possess acute knowledge and practical experience applying ICDs to systems
• DoD 8570 Certified
• Previous Information Security work with IC to include knowledge of computer networks, applications, processes and accesses
