The Team

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a product management specialist to join its Product Management team which sits within the Ratings Commercial Office and is responsible for the execution and management of key strategic products and platforms to the Ratings Business. Each role within the team in responsible for delivering high quality execution of product deliverables, connecting internal stakeholders, and keeping the customer at the center of everything we do. The team is made up of highly organized professionals who are skilled communicators that are effective in working with all levels of the organization and with clients alike.

The Impact

This role supports the overall strategy of delivering the best products to our customers to support our business goals and combines proven organization, communication, and client service skills. The person in this role will be reporting to the Global Lead of the Product Management team which sits within the Chief Commercial Office and works in conjunction with the Product Solutions team who develops new products and offerings to our clients.

The Product Lead will be primarily responsible for executing on deliverables associated with the prototyping, build, and launch activities for S&P Global Ratings suite of emerging risk products such as Cyber. The selected candidate will serve as the Product Owner who will work with cross-functional internal stakeholders and serve as the Commercial organization’s key liaison for all aspects of our Cyber products.

The role will focus on both short- and long-term needs as it relates to the effective execution of product launch and management which in turn will require close relationships with people in all areas of the business – Analytical Innovation, Sales, Compliance, Technology, Data, Operations to name a few. Cyber is a key strategy for the organization and the role will engage with all levels of the organization including presenting to executives on product updates and launch activity.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $61,500 to $127,700. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the management and execution of deliverables related to the prototyping, build, and launch of S&P Global Rating’s Cyber related products
  • Manage key stakeholders to deliver upon project related activities with a sense of urgency
  • Effectively communicate business decisions in a compliant manner to internal teams
  • Ability to escalate roadblocks and present to executives when key decisions are needed
  • Advance planning to secure resources needed for longer term data and technical needs
  • Set up a support model to effectively manage products post launch
  • Work closely with other Commercial teams including Product Solutions and Marketing to support Go to Market activities
  • Establish and track metrics to monitor product success post launch

What we’re looking for

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets and credit ratings
  • Willingness to learn, give and receive feedback

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional languages
  • Previous client-facing experience
