NOTICE OF FILING UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM Sr. Security Engineer, Gartner, Inc., Irving, TX. Build and lead implementation/design of tools and process for automated security assessments. Lead the review of security-sensitive aspects of enterprise applications and systems. Responsible for developing solutions that help proactively identify security gaps as well as promptly and efficiently mitigate security vulnerabilities. Lead security projects from the aspect of design and implementation to operational phase. Assist third party penetration testing firms in performing independent security assessments. Work with teams across IT and act as subject matter expert in securing solutions. Provide training on the topic of cyber security. Provide application development to support cybersecurity initiatives as well as provide thoughtful oversight on system designs presented by other teams. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. $140,000/yr. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field, and five (5) years of related work experience. Must have three (3) years of experience with/in: − Software development experience of at least three modern languages, such as Python, Ruby, GO, C#, and/or Java; − Security best practices in at least two of laaS/PaaS services such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud; − Networking principals such as TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SIP, RTSP, wireless protocols, and Web Applications Firewalls and DLP; and − AGILE methodologies Kanban, Scrum and threat modeling frameworks such as STRIDE. Must have two (2) years of experience with/in: − MVC framework such as Django, and writing code based on REST principals on server side and client side; and − Security assessment tools such as Metasploit, Burp suite and/or Wireshark.
