Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior IT Security Engineer to provide day-to-day and project related technical security support, system maintenance and security integrations for CHS security infrastructure technology and processes for security domains. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and possess analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support activities, root cause analysis, quality assurance and acceptance testing, develop error management functionality and metrics for assigned applications.
• Support process, procedures, guidelines, standards for security capabilities and architecture, roadmaps and influence vendor selections for security technology
• Assist with the installation, planning, evaluation and support of security technology and standards.
• Contribute in analyzing business strategy and user needs, translating to system requirements.
• Participate in the implementation planning of systems projects.
• Possess working knowledge of Web based authentication and authorization protocols, and supporting infrastructure.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent years of training, work experience and education)
• 4+ or more years of experience in an enterprise IT Security Engineering role to include one or more of the following disciplines:
  • IT Security systems lifecycle and support
  • Leading projects to completion
  • Managing multiple priorities and working across multiple teams
  • Mentoring others and navigating conflicts
  • Core technologies and platforms (Network Security Appliances, Endpoint Protection, Remote Access)
  • Underlying security theories, principles, designs, standards and industry best practices

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security
• Security or technical certification
• Configuration and log analysis
• Authentication and authorization
• Reporting and metric generation
