This position can be located in Santa Clara Valley (CA), Seattle (WA), and Austin (TX). Apple is seeking an exceptional Security Architect whom can provide technical expertise for the Apple Information Services organization’s ARC Team (Architecture, Review and Consultation)! In this role you will partner with developers, deployment engineers, and security teams to secure Apple Inc. Your work will affect Apple’s applications, services and systems, both present and future. Your activities will include threat modeling, crafting and executing risk mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with partner teams on security tools, penetration, and security testing methodologies to maintain security at Apple Inc. You will experience a rapidly evolving technology and threat landscape and contribute to the education of teams on secure application design, development, and testing. Expect to be exposed to a broad range of systems, including web applications, distributed processing, and virtualized environments.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience
- Strong understanding of security assurance methodologies and technologies, such as secure coding standards, static and dynamic security testing, and secure software development lifecycles
- Experience with modern software architectures, such as system, distributed system, data center, and web services architectures
- Expertise in programming and scripting languages, such as C, C++, Java, Swift, Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Rust, Go, shell, etc.
- Deep UNIX/Linux systems administration knowledge / experience
- Passionate about keeping Apple’s customers and employees safe online
- Motivated by tackling difficult and novel problems in highly complex environments
- Able to influence decision makers
- Excellent at multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing complex projects to meet deadlines
- Able to drive multi-organization large projects with clear objectives and tasks

Description

Education & Experience
– Bachelors or Masters/Ph.D. (preferred) in Computer Science or Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Security or a related field, or equivalent experience. – Architect certification of cloud technologies is a plus. (e.g. AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.)
