We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Data Architect to drive development, expansion and evolution of our data infrastructure for the various dataset and telemetry generated by different security sources.

An ideal candidate will have a combination of strong data engineering, systems and cloud knowledge, running data quality improvements and data monitoring programs in a remote, distributed and collaborative data landscape. With our remote team, having strong communication skills to work and inform others of the milestones and statuses of their work will be a key to success.

In addition, the candidate also needs to be familiar with the Cyber Security data domain, creating algorithms and methodologies to synthesize intelligence and business value from various information sources.

This role will join a team of security expertise in various roles to accelerate the maturity of the threat and vulnerability management program for Zoom. The individual will have the opportunity to drive and transform how our executives, security and engineering teams look at vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining a robust, reliable, and scalable enterprise security data pipeline infrastructure.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Apply technical knowledge to architect data warehouse solutions, inventories and re architect existing data platform which ensures long term technical and operational viability of new solution.
  • Infuse key analytics technologies where appropriate to provide actionable insights for key business metrics.
  • Developing set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
  • Define and manage service level agreements for all data sets in allocated areas of ownership.
  • Evaluating external tooling, developing new automation, and tooling to fit business needs.
  • Design, implement and run data quality/data monitoring improvement programs.
  • Manage performance, capacity, availability, security and compliance of data platform and data solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of working on backend infrastructure/data systems or with application/infrastructure logging pipelines.
    • 4+ years of those years in Security Engineering or related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with MySQL, SQL Server or similar database platforms.
    • Fluent and fast with T-SQL, query analysis and optimization.
  • 3+ years of experience with ETL/ELT environments with Azure Data Factory, SSIS or similar technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience using one of the popular programming languages (C#, Python, R, etc).
  • Deep experience in implementing new data warehouses, creating data transformation workflows and enabling/modeling transactional databases and data warehouses.
  • Deep understanding of data processing (relational, key/value, document, columnar, graph).
  • Experience using data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop data repositories.
  • Experience writing code, gathering distinct sources of data using API, designing systems and data workflows, optimizing data processing algorithms, and systems to support a wide variety of analytic work-streams.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure technologies such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Formation, Kinesis, Event Hub, Sentinel etc.
  • Strong communicator with both words and data – you understand what it takes to go from raw data to something a human understands.
  • Comfortable with complexity in the short term but can build towards simplicity in the long term.
  • Great collaboration skills.
