Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking a Cloud Engineer specializing in GCP/AWS/Azure infrastructure to join our Cloud migration team. As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll help architect, design, build, and enhance highly available and scalable systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Systems Engineer.
• Experience delivering entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas.
• Deep Understanding of the full suite of Cloud Services with professional experience with most, working knowledge of all
• At least one cloud certification (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Experience implementing GCP infrastructure and topologies, or other cloud-based solutions for enterprise
• Experience with GCP’s security stack and US Federal security frameworks (FedRAMP and NIST specifically)
• Experience with networking, VPNs, compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers), and developing/maintaining production-grade systems in virtualized environments.
• Practical experience sizing hardware and storage needs

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript, Python (preferred))
• Experience working with Linux and Windows
• Experience working with Containerized applications and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with standard protocols including but not limited to: DNS, SMTP, HTTP(s), SFTP, SCP
• Experience working with essential web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, REST, JSON)
• Experience working with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc.).
• Experience working with Enterprise Service Bus Technologies (Kafka, Tibco, MuleSoft)
• Experience working with a version control system (e.g., Git).
• Experience working with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins)
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
• Working knowledge of Agile Development and continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools.
• Self-starter and problem solver, a must, cannot wait for deep direction.
• Ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals.
• Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
