Description
The Network Security Lead role within Information Security, Protection and Assurance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Network Security team. The network Security team is responsible for running the ongoing support and configuration of all elements of the global security infrastructure at Corteva, including Firewalls, Web Proxies, VPN, WAF and IDS devices. The Network Security Lead will also be responsible for the performance and development of Network Security team employees as well interface with other Cybersecurity, IT and Business leaders.
This role can accommodate a remote work arrangement and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the successful implementation, configuration, and management of all Network Security Infrastructure, Services and Solutions, , including Firewalls, Web Proxies, VPN, WAF and IDS devices.
- Develop, maintain and drive the Network Security strategic roadmap based on business needs and company objectives
- Oversee and facilitate the maintenance and support of all Network Security Infrastructure to ensure system security, reliability, performance, fault tolerance and high availability.
- Execute key processes to include daily maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, patch management and routine system configuration
- Engage vendors and IT teams to identify, diagnose and resolve all Network Security Infrastructure incidents and problems.
- Research and analyze emerging technologies. Evaluate, and recommend initiatives that deliver next generation security capabilities and architectures.
- Partner with technology teams to develop, define and maintain network standards, baselines, architecture and documentation. Maintain detailed designs, configuration templates, network diagrams and infrastructure requirements.
- Create, implement, and track technical support processes, metrics, SLAs, policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Technical Vendors, 3rd Party Business Partners and Service Providers. Ensure service providers perform to contractual SLAs and service obligations.
- Perform all administrative tasks relating to the Network Security Team including: evaluation, performance reviews, salary budgets, hiring / separation, training and education for career advancement
- Manage the technical and administrative day-to-day of the Network Security Engineers, which includes both internal staff and managed services
- Provide training, development, coaching, and mentoring to employees, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
- Manage and collaborate with Managed Service Providers to ensure they are delivering effective and efficient support services based on contract terms. Review and leverage vendor maintenance and support agreements to ensure support, response, and escalation.
- Ensure documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base articles stay current as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, topologies, and support contacts.
- Provide key performance and risk indicators to the Cybersecurity Command and Control Lead.
Qualifications
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Information Technology/Management, or related fields are highly desired but not required
- 5+ years of information technology experience
- 3+ years’ experience leading and managing technical operation teams
- In depth knowledge of Network Security Technologies, Services and Solutions to include Next Generation Firewalls, Network Access Control, Remote Access, SDN Infrastructure, Load Balancing / Application Delivery, Virtual Private Networks, IDS /IPS, and Web Application Firewall.
- Proficiency or working knowledge of Cybersecurity frameworks and methodology such as NIST
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Ability to lead in a team-oriented environment that is multinational and cross organizational with a managed service component
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques
- Ability to analyze data and produce management level reports to enable quick and accurate decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences, across all levels of the organization.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- Prior experience managing teams in a global enterprise multi-site environment
- Experience with Denial of Service Mitigation methods and tooling
- Experience with automation tools and scripting
