Identity & Data Protection is a high-performance team that focuses on advancing our Cybersecurity program. Analysts on this team are responsible for leading, delivering, and supporting all authentication and authorization services as well as data protection capabilities for both on-premise and cloud technologies. This role is focused on heavy involvement for the direction and support of all Identity projects and efforts in the cloud. Analysts in this position must have the ability to plan, design, and deliver new cloud deployments with minimal supervision, and should have a strong background in IAM and federation in cloud and on-premise technologies. (e.g., Active Directory, PAM, Azure, AWS, Conditional Access Policies, Azure SSPR, public key infrastructure).

Responsibilities

  • Assist and/or lead the implementation of projects across our internal team for advancing our security posture or capabilities. Also assist other areas with project deliverables across cybersecurity and other business units.

  • Able to measure and identify areas for improvement.

  • Create documentation for key systems.

  • Employ secure configuration management processes.

  • Ability to provide operational support for incident tickets, broke-fix, consultations, and implementation of change controls.

  • Train and lead other analysts on the policies and procedures of IAM. Review their research, analysis and conclusions for completeness.

  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 client support

  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.

Required/Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Managing Information Strategies (MIS) or other closely related discipline

  • In addition to required degree, five (5) years minimum related work experience

  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND five (5) years minimum related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND nine (9) years minimum related work experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Assist and/or lead the implementation of projects and support for advancing our Cloud and IAM security posture or capabilities.

  • Knowledge of identity, access management, data protection, and federation in cloud and on-premise technologies. (e.g., Active Directory, PAM, Azure, AWS, Azure Information Protection/AIP, Conditional Access Policies, Azure SSPR, public key infrastructure).

  • Also assist other areas with project deliverables across cybersecurity and other business units.

  • Ability to provide operational support for incident tickets, broke-fix, consultations, and implementation of change controls.

  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 client support.

  • High level understanding of Cybersecurity practices/programs. Skill in Cloud based IAM principles, federation, tenants, and privilege access management solutions.

  • Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles (e.g., CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53, Cybersecurity Framework, etc.).

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS or other degrees with high level understanding of network and application security and information systems

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility.
