Job Description
The Intel Validation Engineering Security Assurance team is responsible for the validation organization’s End-to-End Security Assurance Strategy, from pre-Silicon to post-Silicon validation. The Security Assurance team has as the objective of leading proactive focus on security assurance to establish and maintain trust in Intel Products, Services and Platforms; using the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) as a reference to help drive high-quality security outcomes in product and services development at Intel.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Responsible for secure design development and operation of Intel’s hardware and software products and services
  • Responsibilities may include threat assessments design of security components and vulnerability assessment
  • Ensures products conform to standards and specifications
  • Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education judgment and formal processes
  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles theories attacks
  • May participate in development of intellectual property
  • Requires thorough knowledge of security practices procedures and capabilities to perform nonrepetitive analytical work

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience in:

  • System security research and exploring software and hardware techniques as a method of attack against targets within the computing systems
  • Security threats vulnerability research along with practicing security development lifecycle practices
  • Authentication, cryptography, secure protocols
  • Computer architecture CPU design SoC layout chipset functionality and development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in:

  • Threat modeling
  • Security code review analysis and vulnerability assessment
  • Reverse engineering skills
  • Exploitation and mitigation technique developments
  • Security testing techniques including fuzzing and pen-testing
  • BIOS Firmware Drivers
